Copyright & Abuse
Report infringement, malware, or illegal content: [email protected]. We act on valid reports within 24 hours. Every transfer page also carries a one-click report button.
DMCA / copyright takedown
Mailboat is a file staging and transfer service. We respect copyright and respond to notices of claimed infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512).
To file a copyright notice, email [email protected] with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- The Transfer Link URL (or other identification) of the material to be removed
- Your contact information
- A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or law
- A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material within 24 hours and notify the uploading user.
Counter-notice
If your upload was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice with the same contact details. Absent a court order, material may be restored after 10–14 business days.
Repeat infringers
Accounts with repeated valid infringement notices are terminated.
Other abuse
Malware, CSAM (zero tolerance — immediate termination and reporting to authorities), and fraud are prohibited by our Terms. Every upload is automatically scanned for malware; detected files are frozen before any recipient can download them. Report anything else to [email protected].
DMCA designated agent
Mailboat's designated agent is registered with the US Copyright Office (registration completing before public launch). Notices may be sent to the agent at [email protected].
